Hi, I am Suroush.

A considerable number of Kurds are born or raised outside Kurdistan. Many grow up without the opportunity to learn the Kurdish language or to become familiar with Kurdish culture and history, and come to feel that they belong neither fully to the country in which they live, nor fully to the people from whom they descend.

I founded Learn Kurdish Now to address this: to bring Kurds in the diaspora closer to their language and their heritage, to connect them with Kurds in Kurdistan, and to build a community in which Kurds may learn from, support and befriend one another.

The project is maintained as a passion project and is currently free for everyone. Its purpose, objectives and principles are set out in full in the mission.
